Lestas Consulting have a long history of developing links with Cyprus. Both Northern Ireland and Cyprus have a number of similarities in that they are both islands operating on the periphery of Europe, they have similar population sizes, there are a number of synergistic industries and both have been involved in conflict.

As part of the entry of Cyprus into the EU on 1^st May 2004 and with the need for Northern Ireland to look outward and forward, Lestas Consulting was officially asked by the Cyprus High Commission in London to represent Cyprus at the celebrations in Belfast prior to the enlargement of Europe.  With a wide knowledge of both the Northern Ireland and the Cypriot markets, Lestas Consulting have recently been supporting businesses in Northern Ireland to develop linkages with Cypriot businesses and vise versa.
